Flower white, sessile, 1-2 axillary, 5-6 cm across, 6-7 ovate petals. Originated in the Guangxi Province, China.

Leaves coriaceous, oblong, 8-14 cm long x 3-6 cm wide, glossy green, apices abrupt caudate-acuminate, margins serrate, petioles 8-10 mm long. Originated in Hunan Province, China.

Subgenus Metacamellia; Section Eriandria. Shrub to 2.5 m tall. Flower, 3.0 cm across, white, 7 petals. Leaves similar to C. caudata, elliptic, apices caudate, 4-8 cm long x 1.2-2.4 cm wide. Originated in Hong Kong, Guangxi Province, China and the islands along the Guangdong and Guangxi coast.

Subgenus Thea; Section Chrysantha; Series Flavae. Small shrub. Flower solitary, axillary, golden yellow, 3.5 cm across, with 9 petals. Leaves coriaceous, oblong, 10-15 cm long x 3.5-5 cm wide. Synonym: Camellia quinqueloculosa. Originated in Vietnam.

Flowers red, 3.5-4.5 cm in diameter, solitary, terminal, subsessile, petals 5-6; stamens tubular, 1.3 cm long. Seed capsule red, 4-6 cm in diameter. Distributed in the Sichuan Province.
